What a sorry excuse for an NFL team! Whatever dumb shit was chirping about the Bears being a dynasty should be banned from this blog for being a complete f'ing moron! A hot headed asshole overrated quarterback who couldnt hit the broadside of a barn, an old, overhyped offensive line captain who anchors possibly the worst o-line in the NFL (yes, worse than the Packers--give Rodgers 3 years experience and he learns to get rid of the ball)ZERO wide receivers, a hack flash in the pan running back, no D line, NO dbacks and only Lance Briggs to be excited about! The official stance on this blog is BEARS SUCK!!! Hey, Life, HOW DAMN LONG TIL OPENING DAY??!!??!! Now cue up Waylon!!! And I dont give a damn what you all say!!!

  2. I was that dumb shit, f'ing moron. Maybe I deserve the backlash. Maybe someone who takes time out of there day to run a blog should learn how to read and comprehend beyond a third grade level.

My comment was that the Bears have a good "foundation" to "build" a dynasty. After last nights loss, the Bears are most likely out of the playoffs. They got Minnesota(2), Green Bay, Baltimore, St. Louis, and Detroit. But, this team can be great within a few years, depending on what they do in the draft and free-agency.

Your comment regarding a flash in the pan runningback leads me to believe that you do not understand the game. Which is fine, you can always try soccer. That's easy to follow, just make sure you change your name to Heffe'.

So I will ban myself from your blog for a week. You are banned from watching the Bears next week. That should be fine for you, since we are traveling to Minnesota (OUCH). GO BEARS!!!!

  4. Well, sir, I am sorry... A self imposed ban is not necessary. I have always said that all comments are welcome here, and I have to say after a very slow, frustrating start to the game (and that GOD DAMN GRANDSON OF MINE TOMMY!) I hit the Glenlivet a bit harder than I probably should have... I was all red faced and got on ya a bit harder than I should have. You are right I do not know football all that great outside of wins and losses. Thanks for the informative posts and keep em coming, son. Your comments are always welcome here at 60655!

  5. Apology accepted Boss. Let me frustrate you a liitle more. In case noone was aware, one of THE premier left-tackles in the NFL is from 60655. Played at Brother Rice, then U of I. The team that drafted him signed him for 7 mil a year, which wasn't a bad investment. After all, this kid will probably start in the pro-bowl this year. Here is the frustrating part, it is my understanding(not fact), that he would have taken less, to come play at home. Team he watched growing up, be closer to his family, hometown boy. I don't know what happened from there, but obviously he's not here. Instead we gave Pace 3 mil which leads me to explain your flash-in-the-pan comment. Forte is not the problem. The play-calling, not to mention the offensive direction they took, is the problem. We saw Angelo attempt to transform this team into a pass attack offense w/o a bonifide #1 receiver. An aging o-line. Not to mention that Forte still needs a year, or two, to learn how to read blitz packages, and pick them up. Pace was phenominal for years, but he is alot older. Cutler is a very good Quarterback, and can be great. He's certainly the best out of his draft class. Just ask Vince Young and Matt Linehaert. But the bears need to do what they do best.....RUN THE BALL.

Yes, we do have a great foundation. A good Quaterback, a good runningback, premier tightend, not to mention a good wideout in the making(NOT HESTER). We need to make good moves in free-agency. If Angelo gets rid of Lovie, for the love of God, bring in Shannahan. Not only did he draft Cutler, but this man knows how to put together an O-line. That's why names like Gary, Andersen, and Droughns rushed for 1200 yards each. These were runningbacks you've never heard of, that rushed for 1200 yards behind Shannahan's O-lines.

I do think we have a chance against Minnesota. Before everyone laughs, just remember, Pittsburgh lost to a team worse than the Bears yesterday. If we can manage 1 win out of the 2 games against the Vikes, maybe we can finish 8-8. All things considering, I would take that.

P.S.- I owe you an apology as well. I didn't mean to question your literacy. I'm sorry for that. When it comes to football, I get a little hot under the collar as well, GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Hey J.O.B. Riddle me this- How good of a team can the Bears be if they only get rid of Lovie and Ron Turner? The Vikings will put a big hurt on the Bears courtesy of Brett Farve. And you can take that to the bank...Maybe then the upper management will wake up.

  7. Gee you are one angry drunk Boss. I worry for not only your health but your grandson Tommy's.
Ever think thats why he is such a terror?

  8. I'll riddle ya, it's simple. It is upper management destroying this team. Angelo has some big hard-on ego after picking Hester in the second round, I say whoopy-do. you also picked Grossman, Berrian, Wade, Bradley, Johnson(Tank). Shall I go on, ORTON. But hey, He picked a wonderful return man!

This a##hole needs to go. However, Lovie runs the team. Tampa, cover-2. REALLY! THERE's only 1 other defense that runs that scheme(ST. LOUIS) in the NFC. GUESS who sucks worse?

BRING ME SHANNAHAN!!!!!!!!!!!! He was one of the first to understand that there is no set price for the man protecting your franchise QB. Even last year, This man had the worst defense in the NFL, and was still 1 game away from the play-offs!

In closing- If the team gets rid of Lovie and Turner? They could be #1 in the NFC north within a couple of years. Bring in Shannahan, and get rid of Angelo! That's all it would take.

As far as Minnesota? F##k them and F##k Favre. Have Briggs shadow Peterson,. and double team Rice. Then, zone blitz..... Knock Favre on his ass!!!!!!!!!!! It's not hard!!!!!!!!!Just bring a little pressure.........GO BEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. Baseball players are smarter than football players. How often do you see a baseball team penalized for too many players on the field

  11. Hey J.O.B. What are you going to do when Marist and the Vikings prove you wrong? Hopefully you'll just go away...

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hey 4:48- It's impossible to be proven wrong, since I never made any predictions. When it comes to Marist, and Rita as well, I wish all those kids the best of luck. I hope they do great. When it comes to the Bears, I just said they have a chance. Every team in the NFL has a chance, anything can happen. I hate to admit it, but even I don't think it looks good for the Bears this week. You just never know. When it comes to me going away, you can wish in one hand and, well you know the rest.

Anyway, I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday. Have a good weekend......
