Open Post

Not much going on around and in 60655 excepthaving a drink, a fine R & J, some decent wings while watching a bunch of thugs running around, doing their jobs, and dancing like a bunch of mopes when they DO their job... But hey, we pay to watch it and we enjoy it! So carry on, my thug brothers! Open post today. Will get back on track tomorrow!

  3. Just read an aricle in the Southtown Star. There is a group of Illinois gun violence prevention advocates that just got a new website going. It is www.vpc.org/ccwkillers.htm. This is a website dedicated to counteracting any gun rights lobbyist groups asking for reform to the laws in this city/state.

According to this website, which I believe is ran by The Illinois Council Against Handgun Violence, Conceal/carry permit holders killed 8 police officers and 77 civilians (10 of which commited suicide. So really 67 civilians). These deaths took place between May '07 and October '09. That's right! 85 total deaths, (10 by suicide) in a span of 2 years and 5 months.

My question is this: Is this the only thing you have to hold on to Illinois Anti-Handgun jerkoffs. REALLY!!!!!!!! 85 deaths in 2 1/2 YEARS! how many officers were killed in this city alone in that time frame? Law abiding citizens for that matter. Here's a question that could never be answered by ANY statistic, or Anti-handgun group. How many deaths in this city would have been prevented in that time frame if we had conceal/carry availibility? Hell, how about within the last year? Shit how about the last month?

Of course, their is no mention in the article if some of these deaths were cosidered justifiable self-defense. I asked a police officer once, "how do you feel about conceal/carry laws in this state". His response, "I'll give you 2 scenarios. 1- We respond to a call of shots fired in an alley. We get there and find a man lying face down, shot twice in the chest. Man is roughly 6'2", 230 LBS., wearing a red stocking cap. 20 feet away is a woman 5'4", on her knees sobbing. She walks up to hand her purse over, crying that she had no choice. 2- a woman, 5'4" walks into Christ E.R. beaten and raped. Says the attacker was 6'2" @ 230 LBS, wearing a red stocking cap. Pulled her into the alley, beat and raped her. then took her purse. The officer told me he would rather choose #1. My sentiments exactly!
