Police have issued a community alert about three men who attempted to abduct a 14-year-old boy Friday in Mount Greenwood.
The attempted kidnapping occurred about 3:15 p.m. in the 10700 block of South Hamlin Avenue when three men in a dark brown minivan drove alongside the boy and parked their car, according to the alert from Calumet Area detectives.
A passenger got out of the car and ordered the boy into the minivan, but the boy ran home, and the would-be kidnappers drove away.
All three suspects were 17 to 19 years old, according to the alert. The passenger who approached the boy was wearing a blue baseball cap and dark brown sweatshirt with white lettering.

ROBBERY occured at Kean gas station at Talman/111th street on August 10, 2009. From what I gathered it was 3 armed black men that stormed the gas station just before closing and tied up the employees. Please keep your eyes open and make sure everyone calls 911 if they see something odd.
ReplyDeleteBesides the description of the minivan, what race was the 3 men... white, black, mexican???
ReplyDeleteAccording to the Southwest Observer and a newsletter sent home to parents with kids in Cassell School, it was supposed to have been three 19 to 20 year old white guys.
ReplyDeleteI hope someone catches them and removes their nuts with a dull knife, no matter who they are!
I'm with you Jim. These sons a bitches need to be castrated! Please be on the look out for this van and these scumbags.
